Tonight’s mystery artist wrote a song about running that he admits nobody ever gets the connection.  Think you know the song or the artist??

This little tidbit was found in the Mercury News as they interviewed Bob Seger . According to Bob most people think  the song “Against the Wind” is metaphorical and well, it isn’t.  The story goes, after failing to make it as a quarterback in high school, he signed up for track and field.  And it was his passion for running and training that were the initial inspiration for “Against the Wind.” Bob told the paper:

“I always wanted to write a song about being a runner,” he says. “I don’t think anybody got that, but that’s where the ‘Against the Wind’ title came from.”

Here are Bob and the Boss with tonight's featured song.

And Bob's song about running, now you know.
