Tonight’s mystery artist was called by Rolling Stone one of the most impressive rock singers of the decade who was held back by an insistence of only singing songs he or his bandmates wrote. Think you know who he might be??

In fact Rolling Stone goes on to say how that decision caused his first band FREE to struggle in the US. So that means the voice they so admire is Paul Rodgers. They actually go so far as to call Paul’s voice a virtuoso instrument that can make a song better than it actually is.  The good news is with his current band Bad Company he now has Mick Ralphs who is a better song writer and composer.

Tonight’s song however was written by Paul himself and it’s a good one.
