Holden Melvin's bail conditions were drastically reduced from $100,000 to $1,000 in June 2025 by a judge who did so grudgingly, due to his attorney's assertion that he had medical conditions that could not be addressed in jail.

Melvin posted bail but was given the conditions that he stay in his mother's house in Milo, except for medical or legal appointments, at which time he was to be accompanied by his mother.

When the police found him not at home on December 4, 2025, he was arrested and taken back to jail.

According to WGME-TV, his attorney says he's developing new proposed bail conditions for a future court date.
