With the closing of Northern Light Health's Walk-in Care clinic, Bangor-area residents are limited in their options for urgent care.

Bangor, Maine's Northern Light Walk-In Care Clinic is Closed

Northern Light Health announced this week that the Walk-in Care clinic on Union Street in Bangor would close on September 3rd, 2025.

A media release from Northern Light Healthcare states that the organization is reducing its workforce by 3%, including reductions at the highest level, in mostly non-clinical positions. This obviously includes the shuttering of its walk-in care facilities.

Hospital officials say people whose positions are being eliminated are receiving severance, career guidance, and may be offered open positions in other parts of the Northern Light system.
