
Old Town Man Faces Up to 20 Years for Possession of Child Porn
An Old Town man has pleaded guilty to charges of possession of child porn after many of his electronics were seized.
The Defendant Appeared in a Bangor Courtroom
Matthew Podlaski, 40, pleaded guilty last week in a Bangor courtroom to possessing child pornography involving a child under the age of 12.

Police Seized Many Electronic and Storage Devices from Podlaski
The crimes happened between October and December 2022, when court documents state that Podlaski ran online searches and downloaded images of the sexual abuse of young children. Podlaski then stored many of those images on multiple devices. As part of the investigation, police seized fourteen devices that belonged to Podlaski, including laptop computers, flash drives, and external storage devices.

According to the United States Attorney's Office, District of Maine, Podlaski pleaded guilty on Thursday, May 9th. He faces up to 20 years imprisonment and a maximum fine of $250,000, followed by five years to life of supervised release. He will be sentenced at a later date.
