We love award season over here.

The Nite Show with Danny Cashman, our Pine Tree State’s only late-night talk show, has been nominated for two Boston/New England Regional Emmy Awards. The nominations were announced yesterday on April 20th by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences - New England Chapter. The show has been nominated in the Arts/Entertainment Long Form Content category, as well as Cashman for the Program Host/Moderator category.

The Nite Show is taped on the campus of Husson University at The Gracie Theatre, and the university's New England School of Communications (NESCom) is closely involved in the show's production. In fact, every episode of The Nite Show features over 30 NESCom students, faculty, and staff working in various aspects of the production. NESCom took to their Facebook page to congratulate the show, saying, "Students involved should be proud of their work!"

The Nite Show's next live taping will be on Wednesday, April 26 at The Gracie Theatre, and it will be the final taping of the season. The winners of the Boston/New England Regional Emmy Awards will be announced at the Emmy ceremony on June 10th.

Here's a clip from The Nite Show where Governor Janet Mills officially declared Feb. 11th as Nite Show Day in the State of Maine.
