A Waterville man is facing charges after the police seized illegal drugs and a firearm.

Waterville, Maine, Man Faces Charges After Drug Seizure Worth $100K

Andrew Symonevich, 48, of Waterville, is charged with:

• Aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs
• Illegal possession of a firearm.

His bail was set at $35,000, and he's due back in court on February 23rd.

The arrest was the result of a month-long investigation by the Waterville Police Department into the sale of illegal drugs.

Several search warrants were executed on December 30, 2025, which resulted in the seizure of an illegal firearm and over 16 pounds of methamphetamine.

The estimated street value of the drugs is over $100,000.

Waterville Police Chief William Bonney commended the investigators for their dedication in this case.

Targeting these source-level traffickers is our ultimate goal, as their illicit drugs have a direct effect on our community's safety and happiness.

Bonney went on to say, in a post on the department's Facebook page, that he's very proud of everyone involved in the investigation that led to "one of the largest illicit drug seizures in the state's history."
