Guys, have you heard about the hidden treasure at Chili’s in Maine? Spoiler alert this is not a legend or lore, it’s 100 % real!

Maine, the next time you go to dinner, you’ll have to take a good look around the dining room at Chili’s in Bangor, because there’s a good luck charm.

According to Fool, in every single Chili’s restaurant in the nation, there is piece of wall art hanging completely upside down and it’s not a mistake.

It's a cute but intentional tradition that has become a part of the Chili’s entire experience.

The Upside-Down Picture Hiding in Plain Sight at Bangor’s Chili’s

Why is there an upside-down photo in a place famous for the baby back ribs?

The answer is that some believe the tradition comes from Chinese culture. As per the article,

"each sign is painted in red and green and hung upside down. The tradition looks to have influences of Chinese culture as the Chinese word for 'arrive' rhymes with the word for 'upside down'. The upside down picture symbolizes that good luck will arrive and it's a subtle way that Chili's is greeting all those that arrive at its locations."

This has become a fun little treasure hunt for diners everywhere.

Some of the guests don’t even notice it until their third or fourth time eating there and when it hits them, it’s like having a secret handshake with Chili’s.
