A Livermore Falls man is dead after a New Year's morning crash on Route 4 in Livermore.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine if Shawn Berry, 41, died from injuries from the crash or from a medical condition, according to police.

Berry was a passenger in a car driven by Brady Romano, 37, of Livermore Falls that had pulled over to the side of the road, when Berry became sick.

Romano's car was then struck from behind by a second vehicle, driven by Sarah Clark, 30, of Farmington.

Berry was still in the car at the time of the crash and Clark and another passer-by performed CPR on him, but Berry died at the scene.
Police say Route 4 was closed for several hours after the crash, which took place about 1:20 a.m. Sunday.

The District Attorney's Office will review the crash report once it is completed.
