Local Woman Dies After Kenduskeag Fire

A Kenduskeag woman has died of injuries suffered in a mobile home fire earlier this month.

Sheryl Bassett, 60, died Friday at Maine Medical Center in Portland, the State Fire Marshal’s Office said Monday.

She suffered serious burns in the Nov. 15 fire on 2nd Street.

Bassett's home was destroyed in the blaze.

Investigators say it started in the living room, but the cause is still under investigation.
