This past January, James Kennedy of Carmel passed away after a courageous six month fight with pancreatic cancer.  Now, his children will receive bikes from a national organization in a show of caring, love, compassion and support.

A party hosted by the Purple Elf Project of Brewer will take place this Saturday morning at 11 at the Sea Dog Brewing Company on Front Street in Bangor. During the party, the Fast Freddie Foundation along with Dennis and Lori Richardson, will present the Kennedy boys, Dru and Zach, with brand new bicycles.  James' wife, Laurie Kennedy, invites everyone to this wonderful showing of support.

The mission of the Fast Freddie Foundation is to inspire and provide young people with the tools to achieve personal successes by utilizing life skills learned through cycling. Freddie Rodriguez, the founder of the Fast Freddie Foundation will video chat with the boys during the event.
