From a Food Truck to a brick and mortar shop. Melt opened in Bar Harbor over the weekend.

Alexis and Amanda previously traveled the state as a mobile food truck, and were along the Bangor Waterfront beginning in 2017. They were in Ellsworth pre pandemic.  And now at 27B Main Street in Bar Harbor.

Anyone who have sampled the delicious, gooey, fab food that does not live or work in Bar Harbor is thinking Road Trip.  We’re all in.

Melt is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and will be open May to October. These woman are go getters and this has to be a dream come true. Introduce yourself and you will see how friendly they are.

Co owner Alexis talked about opening at 7 a.m.

“We have some new Breakfast Melts we are excited about and some additions to our lunch menu, including lobster and crab”

Melt also now has a liquor license. Plus, bonus, they have formed a partnership to be the exclusive Bar Harbor vendor of Momo’s Cheesecakes Bakery. Momo’s has their own story, and if you haven’t had Momo’s it is time. Now. They have an on your honor system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week section at their Ellsworth location. Who goes and gets cheesecake in the middle of the night? That’s a question for another time.

The Melt brick and mortar is a lot like the food truck, except larger, and will offer take out service and bonus, you can eat right across the street in the beautiful park, where you can’t beat that view.

Alexis also let us know that

“We’ll still keep the Melt Food truck for some fairs like the Fryeburg Fair and the Blue Hill Fair, and others depending upon staffing”

Philly Melt is on my mind right now.
