A Farmington woman died in a head-on collision in Norridgewock on Tuesday that also sent two people to the hospital.

The accident happened just after 7:00 Tuesday evening on Route 139 in Norridgewock. The Somerset County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 85-year-old Sally McKinley. Officials say McKinley's vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle, driven by Joshua Savage, 31 of Norridgewock. McKinley reportedly died on impact.

According to WABI-TV, Savage was reportedly taken to a Bangor hospital in critical condition. McKinley's son, 57-year-old William McKinley, suffered injuries to his ribs and wrist. Police say Savage was not wearing a seatbelt. McKinley and her son were wearing theirs.

The accident remains under investigation.
