Maybe you've seen them lit up at night off in the distance, or, maybe you've talked to inquisitive friends that have made the hike through the woods just to view these towering structures.  Now is your chance to get up close and personal.

This Saturday, April 22nd, is Earth Day, and the Pisgah Mountain Wind Project in Clifton will hold an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony between 12 noon and 2PM. Everyone is welcome!

Stop by and view the five huge energy producing wind turbines for yourself, and see how the entire system works by taking a tour of the entire site.  The five 1.8 megawatt turbines currently produce enough electricity to power anywhere from four to five thousand homes.

The Clifton Country Store will be serving up their famous sandwiches!
