Palace Playland Will Be Open Memorial Day Weekend

Maine is a summertime destination. But, one place that really takes the cake when it comes to beachside fun for all ages is the Palace Playland Amusement Park at Old Orchard Beach.

The seasonal opening of this ultimate amusement ride Maine adventure is an official start of summer for many in the State of Maine and, arguably, for New England.

It looks like summer has a start date and, in the midst of a pandemic, couldn't be a better sign of the beginning of the end of pandemic restrictions. Palace Playland Adventure in Old Orchard Beach will be open for the season come Memorial Day weekend.

Get ready to get on the rides for the official start of summer tourism in the state and fun beachside fun in Maine.

Palace Playland is home to 28 rides and a large arcade that features 250 games and attractions.

You can expect the park to be open at 11 AM on weekend days and at noon on the weekdays and be open until around 10 PM. Thursdays feature a fireworks display at 9:45 PM with a special show for Independence Day.

Now, if you don't want to just visit, the park is looking for mechanics, ride operators, midway game hosts, cashiers and assistant managers. If you are looking for a fun, seasonal summer job, this might be the one you've been waiting for. Work perks include earned free ride passes, discounts for the park and merch, and you may even be able to get passes for other parks, too.
