Two Arrested, Money And Drugs Seized Following Drug Bust In Patten, Maine This Week
Search warrants issued Tuesday for two separate residences on the Shin Pond Road in Patten yielded illegal drugs and money, and resulted in the arrest of two people from that town, authorities say.
According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, the drug busts were the result of an ongoing investigation into the sale of illegal drugs in that region of Maine. It's the work of a collaboration between the Sheriff's Office, the Maine DEA, and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations.
"During the investigation of these two locations, 43-year-old Ricky Grant of Patten was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant and additionally charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drugs and Violation of Condition of Release (violation of bail). 51-year-old Tiffany Kaelin of Patten, Maine, was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant. Both subjects were transported to the Penobscot County Jail. During the search, US Currency and illegal drugs were seized."
The warrants were executed at 7 AM on August 12th by the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team with help from the K-9 Unit Memphis.
K-9 Unit Memphis was also an integral part of another drug bust in the Penobscot County town of Charleston last week.
