Specializing in homemade soft serve, but carrying plenty of Gifford's hard serve, too, The Dairy Port will officially open for business Saturday, March 29th.

While Fielder's Choice made the choice to open it's 6 locations last week, the Brewer DQ seems to be following suit.

While we're not sure why they moved this year's date up, those who live and breathe ice cream were not saddened by the news.

So here's the scoop; time is running out to get your favorite Gifford's Ice Cream flavor scooped and served at their family stand in Bangor.

A representative for the family stated that they are forever grateful to those who stopped into the stand over the years to get a scoop of ice cream.

They will be giving away 100 Free ice cream cones on Saturday, and on Sunday, you'll have a chance to win free ice cream for a year as a door prize!
