Thanksgiving

I have known about this for year  and have even used it one or twice myself when facing the bird. That is the Butterball hot line with questions about what to do next, especially when after you've already done something stupid...like not thaw out the bird in time...

As a person who has bunnies I have learned over the years that what you feed your pets can have serious implications for their health. Good news for me is that for the most part a rabbit will turn up their twitchy noses at most things that would harm them not so for their canine brothers and sisters.

** Spoiler Alert** I think we have all heard over the years that some of the history we are taught in schools is a bit slanted, shall we say, to make us kind of seem nice and look good. No harm no foul right? well, make that fowl and you're almost there...

When I was a kid I may have helped a time or two with Thanksgiving dinner. My favorite was when I tried to chop onions in the blender for stuffing.  No big deal right? Well' I was pushing the down with a wooden spoon. Let's just say the stuffing that year had a little more fiber than usual and God help you if you hit a chunk...

Here we go into the Thanksgiving holiday, and many of us will be thinking heavily of members of our families, or maybe family friends, that are a world away serving in the U.S. military!

Millions of people will travel this Thanksgiving holiday.  Will you be one of them?
