University of Maine Police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in a string of burglaries.

According to a post on the UMaine Police Department's Facebook page, there have been multiple burglaries at fraternities located along College Avenue in Orono. As part of their investigation, police have located surveillance video of a suspect(s) believed to be connected to the crimes.

One of the burglaries happened on October 29th, 2021, while two others occurred on or about March 18th, 2022.

Now, they're hoping to hear from anyone who may recognize the individual(s) caught on camera. Their identity is concealed by heavy clothing, but police say it's still possible that someone may recognize them. They encourage people to pay attention to their mannerisms, clothing, and in the way they walk.

Anyone who thinks they know the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the University of Maine Police Department at 207-581-4040. Tips can also be sent to Detective Sergeant William Flagg at william.flagg@maine.edu.

We'll update this story as more details become available.
