"In order for people to spend their hard earned money and valuable time to make a conscious decision to attend a major event, they really need to have the assurance of safety.  Without the skillful planning and execution of safe procedures of the Bangor Police Department, the American Folk Festival would struggle to find a way to ensure that safety for the roughly 100,000 festival-goers who attend this event annually from all across the country.

The Spectacular Event Center in Bangor will be the scene of the awards ceremony on Tuesday night, May 6th.  Tickets can be purchased at www.VisitBangorMaine.com.
