While Brian Johnson may have been forced to leave AC/DC's touring lineup due to the threat of possibly permanently losing his hearing, he's not totally given up on performing. Johnson has sought treatments and has made the occasional appearance onstage since his AC/DC exit, most recently turning up at Mick Fleetwood's bar in Lahaina, Hawaii for a jam.

Fleetwood and his house band were performing for patrons at Fleetwood's on Front Street earlier this month, when Johnson was invited to the stage to the delight of fans. After engaging in a little banter and reflecting that he and Fleetwood were of the same "vintage," Johnson asked the house band if they could play the classic song "Route 66."

What followed was a bluesy rendition of the song complete with the drum shuffle and Johnson's easily identifiable voice delivering a solid version of the performance which can be viewed in the fan-shot video posted above.

Back in February, Johnson spoke openly about his hearing issues and how it led to his exit from AC/DC. "Onstage it was getting harder and harder to hear the guitars, even hear the keys, and I was basically going on muscle memory. And I'm not the kind of guy who likes to cheat," said Johnson, who added, "The way I look at it, I had a great run."

In addition to the occasional stage appearance, Johnson has also been hosting the TV show Cars That Rock.
