Here's 400 lbs. of black bear mama!

Man, that's a big black bear.  Watch her scope out the area as her cub calmly walks behind.

This video footage was shot using a trail cam by our friends at Real World - New Hampshire, and then posted to Facebook.

According to the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife, female black bears can weigh anywhere between 100 and 400 lbs. and can measure between 4 and 5 feet in length.  Cubs are born in January and February, and remain with mama between 16 and 18 months.  One should never approach a female black bear and her cubs, because mama can and will be VERY PROTECTIVE!
