When Do the Swimming Pools Open in Bangor & Brewer
Today would be great with the temperature on the way to 90 degrees.
But since we will be back into the 60s by Sunday, maybe not so much.
So, the answer is not today. Soon, but not quite yet.
First the municipal pools in Bangor.
And Bangor Parks and Recreation have not finalized their opening day yet. But it’ll be at least the second week of June.
They are in the process of getting staffing needs taken care of, having hired some lifeguards for this year who are now getting their safety classes taken care of, and securing their needed documentation.
FYI, if you are interested in becoming a lifeguard for Bangor this summer, hurry hurry. Here’s the link for jobs.
Bangor pools are Beth Pancoe Municipal Aquatic Center located at 175 13th Street.
And Dakin Pool. 380 Pine Street.
Over to Brewer and the Brewer Municipal Pool, 318 Wilson Street.
Brewer Parks and Recreation reported that the first scheduled swimming lessons are Monday, June 27th. Therefore, they will be open by that day, and potentially a few days prior to that date.
Brewer offers numerous levels of swimming lessons and offers them on different days. Here’s where you can get details.
Meanwhile, you have up to 6 weeks to get a little bit of a tan before pools are over for the summer.
