Your Emera Maine & CMP Bills May Be Going Down

Yesterday, the Maine Public Utilities Commission graciously approved an 18% rate reduction for small businesses and residential customers in Emera Maine's Bangor Hydro District for the year 2020. The Bangor Hydro District covers most of Penobscot, Hancock and Washington Counties.

Average customers who use the standard offer in that district should see their bills go down by about $7.50.

This makes up for the 15.8% increase that they approved for 2019.

The Maine Public Utilities Commission will approve the standard offer price for Central Maine Power and Emera Maine's Maine Public District today, Wednesday, November 13th.
