Today's match up features a couple of powerhouse albums from the early eighties, and they were recorded by a couple of bands that have played here in Bangor.  If you had to choose only one, which you do today, which one would you choose?

1984 by Van Halen was released in, well, 1984.  It's the band's biggest selling album, featuring great songs like Jump, Hot For Teacher, I'll Wait and Panama. The album reached only #2 on the Billboard Album Chart, it couldn't overtake Michael Jackson's Thriller. The cover art is a baby with angel wings smoking a cigarette, which did cause a bit of a controversy.

Today's second album is Eliminator by ZZ Top, released in 1983.  It contains their most memorable hit songs, stuff like Sharp Dressed Man, Legs and Gimme All Your Lovin'!  And who could forget those videos! The car that is featured on the cover of the album and in the videos is a 1933 Ford Coupe which is owned by guitarist Billy Gibbons.
