Bangor Drive-In Holding An Odes To Bowie and Prince

Everybody seems to love the theme ‘Throwback Thursday’. It is catchy I’ll give you that but this is the first time is actually made me sit up and take notice.  Next Thursday June 16^th the Bangor Drive-in is paying homage to two of our most recently lost treasures of the musical community David Bowie and Prince.  For David Bowie the fantasy, adventure film ‘Labyrinth done by Jim Henson, George Lucas and starring David Bowie, and  for Prince a movie of his own design that supposedly tell his own story “Purple Rain,” starring Prince.

Films are all double features, and begin at sundown — currently around 8:25 p.m. — with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $22 per car, a decrease of $5 off of last year’s price of $27, and there is a full snack bar with pizza, popcorn, candy and other treats available.
