New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick took to the podium this morning and made his first comments on the 11 deflated footballs discovered during last weekend's AFC Championship football game.

Belichick said that had no explanation as to what may or may not have happened to the footballs and that he had nothing to do with the process of preparing or providing game balls.  He said that throughout his coaching career that he really had no idea of the process "until know."

"When I came in Monday morning, I was shocked to learn of the news about the footballs.  I had no knowledge whatsoever of the situation until Monday morning", said the coach of the Super Bowl bound Patriots.
