Bucksport on Saturday: Bridge The Gap & Finish Line Festival

It’s the time of the year when more and more things to do are popping up. We have commitments that are on the increase and also events take place this time of the year that are fun and entertaining to be a part of.

This weekend is no exception. And the weather is going to co-operate.

Saturday will be a great day to visit Bucksport.

Main Street Bucksport presents Finish Line Festival.

Saturday is also Bridge the Gap Race Day in Prospect and Bucksport Starting at 10 a.m. and concluding by 12:30 p.m. this has become a well recognized race all over New England, with good reviews. Yes, it is definitely spring.

It’ll be a day of food and music and fun too. A party.

Start the day with high fives for the racers, and when you get hungry join the party downtown. Time to get a bite? Check out the food trucks or downtown Bucksport's places to eat.

Getting too busy or loud for you? Head to the waterfront and walk the paved path. Gorgeous views of the bridge, the Fort, and the whole area. And if you are not in Bucksport a lot, know that they have some great walking trails for the whole family minutes from downtown.

But this Saturday, the fun is downtown with all you have been waiting for all winter long, as the weather should be perfect for the Finish Line Festival and Bridge the Gap Race Day.
