Well, like with just about anything these days, you don't need to even leave your couch to vote in the upcoming election. Just get your absentee ballot!

The State of Maine has announced that absentee ballots for the upcoming mid-term election in November are available.

This comes from a new survey of more than 85,000 registered voters across the U.S. Maine's Paul LePage has actually seen his disapproval numbers go down.

Permanent daylight saving time? Kinda sounds nice.

Today, Maine Governor Paul R. LePage issued this congratulatory statement to now President-Elect Donald Trump.

With Maine ballot clerks reporting "extremely heavy turnout," voters took to the polls Tuesday to help determine the next president of the United States, their representation in Congress and a number of ballot issues including recreational marijuana and added gun control.

In the Bangor area starting on Monday you'll be able to cast you vote for more than just the leader of the free world, which frankly ought to be enough to get you out of your chair.  However, if this campaign has you less than enthused for our presidential election prospects, know there are plenty of other important things to vote for this year especially in Maine...

Don't know about you but lots of folks are ready to have this election behind them.  If you need more time, no worries you have until November 8th to pull your hair out.  However, if you'd like to just get on with things, Frankenstein and creepy clowns aren't the only thing you can be scared of on Halloween. At least here in Bangor.
