A woman from Cornish was arrested on the Maine Turnpike in the Saco area yesterday doing 124 mph with two young kids in the car.

A Maine State Police trooper took notice of her weaving in and out of traffic and followed her for a couple of miles before pulling her over on the Exit 47 off ramp in Portland.

Cheryl Gibson, 25, had her two young children, ages 3 and 5 were in the car, along with three men.  The trooper ran a check on the three men and all of their driver's licenses were suspended.

The Trooper handcuffed Gibson there on the side of the road for criminal speed, driving to endanger and endangering the welfare of a child.  The trooper said that Gibson was surprised that she was being arrested.

What type of car was she hauling ass in?  Mustang? Camaro? BMW?  No, a 2009 Hyundai Sonata.  These Sonatas usually come with a 2.4 liter 168 horsepower engine.  Guess all the horses were happy that day.

Gibson was taken to the Cumberland County Jail where she was bailed out for $250.
