Country Magazine has listed the "best Scenic Roads in America, and the Acadia Park Loop Road is one of them!

The top ten "intriguing drives" were suggested by the magazine's  favorite scenic photographers.  The Magazine says of the Acadia Loop Road, "From rocky coasts to magical forests, you will catch your breath at every turn of this scenic road"

The park's Loop Road is the primary way of traveling through Acadia.  It begins at the Hulls Cove Visitor's Center and much of it is one way.  As we all know, living here in the area, the road provides spectacular vantage points of Frenchman Bay, Sand Beach, the forests and the mountains.

The story in Country Magazine is written by Paulette M. Roy, and it begins with an early morning trip to the top of Cadillac Mountain.  There are beautiful photos accompanying the story by Paul Rezendes.

The other Best Scenic Roads are: Oregon Coast Highway, Door Country Coastal Byway, Utah's Red Rock Country, Natchez Trace Parkway, Blue Grass Valley Road, Going-To-The-Sun Road, Ponderosa Pine Scenic Byway, Alaska's Seward Highway,  and Mount Ranier's Route 706.
