The family owned Maine business plans to spend $1.6 million on the biggest expansion in it's history!

The Gifford's Famous Ice Cream factory at 25 Hathaway Street in Skowhegan will soon be able to produce twice as much of it's tasty treats.  On Friday, John Gifford, the company's co-owner, will join other family members along with Senator Susan Collins in a formal announcement to announce the expansion.

Will the yellow factory in Skowhegan that still uses 1940s type freezers hire more people for it's workforce?  We'll find out tomorrow.  But in the meantime, we're real happy that brands like Maine Deer Tracks and Maine Wild Blueberry may expand the Maine way of life a little further into the rest of the country. Also just thinking about twice as much of the company's fine flavors hitting local store's freezers and Gifford's Ice Cream Stands has us very excited!
