It was so cold...that an escaped inmate asked to be taken back to prison.

In Kentucky 42-year-old Robert Vick escaped from Blackburn Correctional Complex two nights before and made it about three miles on foot before he couldn’t take the cold any longer. So, Vick knocked on the office door of a local motel and asked the manager to call the cops on him.

Proof that no one can trust the weather, the same night that Vick escaped, a historic cold front began to fall over Kentucky. The temperature was 44 degrees around the time Vick escaped, and dropped to almost zero by the next morning.
