Knife Found In Birthday Cake From Auburn Wal-Mart

A man from Lewiston and his family were holding a birthday party for his son the other day, and the center attraction of course was the birthday cake, which was purchased from the Auburn Wal-Mart.

Nathan Bibeau's son is now 2 years old, and he'll probably remember slicing into the Elmo birthday cake ... and finding a paring knife within it.

Nathan told WGME-TV that he called Wal-Mart, he was offered an apology and a refund.

Management at Wal-Mart said it shouldn't have happened, as they have done away with that particular knife in the bakery section for precautionary reasons.

Nathan says that he will talk to a lawyer, and continue shopping at Wal-Mart. Here's more on the story:
