Boston fans are really off to a great start this year. First the Sox kick the Yankee's Butts on opening day!  And now we find out that Paul McCartney will be facing The Green Monster once again this summer: He's confirmed a recent report in The Boston Globe that he'll return to Boston's Fenway Park for a concert July 9th. Tickets for the new Fenway Park show will go on sale to the general public this Friday at 10 a.m. ET via LiveNation.com and RedSox.com.  Pre-sale tickets will be made available to American Express cardholders from Tuesday at 10 a.m. through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET..

The last time Sir Paul performed at the famed ballpark, back in August 2009, his two shows set the record for the highest-ever two-day concert attendance in the history of the stadium.

This is McCartney's first announced U.S. date of the year, part of what he's calling his Out There! World Tour.  The Beatles legend had previously announced three May shows in Brazil, as well as concerts in June in Italy, Poland and Austria.  As with his previous tours, McCartney plans to stuff his set list with hours of material from every phase of his career, including Beatles classics, Wings songs and solo hits.
