MDI Listed As Top Island Getaway

Maine's largest island has been ranked as a top island getaway by an international travel magazine.

Travel & Leisure magazine ranked Mount Desert Island 25th in their article 'World's Best Islands.' The home of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor was credited as being a great place to 'hike, bike or kayak.' The ranking of the islands was determined by readers.

Palawan in the Philippines was ranked the best island destination in the world. Canada's Prince Edward Island also made the list, ranking 5th.
