New Year’s Is Rife With Drops That Make Eastport’s Sardine Look Normal

Like to watch thing drop on New Year’s Eve? Turns out if you do you are not alone there will be different things dropping from the sky on Dec 31^st that may just make you smile and at the least hope they don’t hit you.

In Maine we boast some more interesting offerings.

• The most tame in the bunch being Bangor’s choice is a beach ball with Christmas lights covering it. Adequate
• Then there is the Eastport sardine and simultaneous maple leaf drop to usher in a New Year and pay homage to our close Atlantic neighbors
• New to the list this year is the Yarmouth Clam Drop cause nothing says Happy New Year like dropping a steamer, hey at least it’s smiling.

And oddly enough the video will tell you if you travel the country you will find everything from Peeps to Golf balls and Yellow Pants to Cheese dropping from the sky. Ain’t we got fun.
