Bangor Police are investigating a stabbing that involved two men from the same family.

It was just after six o'clock Thursday morning when the Bangor Police Department learned of a possible stabbing on Hammond Street. The responding officers found a man in his fifties who had been stabbed several times. The victim was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.

As a result of the investigation, Moffatt Bennett, age 22 of Bangor, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, a class B crime, and taken to Penobscot County Jail. Moffatt is a family member of the victim. He's expected to make his first court appearance on Monday.
