No Who in Boston for you. Well at least this year.

It was reported that singer Roger Daltrey was feeling ill as the band was about the set off on the rest of the bands massive The Who Hits 50 Tour. The initial report resulted in the postponement of a few gigs. They were to kick off the tour tonight in San Diego. Well it appears Roger is down and out for the rest of the year.

Doctors say he has viral meningitis and has to rest. In a statement he said : 'I am now on the mend and feeling a lot better, but I am going to need a considerable time to recover. The doctors tell me I will make a complete recovery, but that I should not do any touring this year.'

Pete Townshend said the shows will be rescheduled for the spring of 2016.

The Who were originally scheduled to play in Boston at the TD Bank Garden on October 29.
