Trapper John is a wonderful cat with an adventurous and heart-breaking history.

Trapper was wandering in the wood last Fall when he was snared in a Bob Cat trap.  Fortunately, he was rescued by animal control officers  and brought to the SPCA of Hancock County. He was in bad shape when he arrived at the shelter. All four of his legs were badly mangled and one leg eventually had to be amputated.

Now recovered, Trapper remains a curious, playful and loving cat in spite of his horrible ordeal and the fact he is missing one back leg.  This sweet and handsome tiger cat is now looking for his forever home. He gets along fine with other cats but isn’t a fan of dogs who stick their nose in his business. Trapper John is about two-years-old. He is neutered and up to date on his shots.

To meet Trapper or any of the other wonderful dogs and cats at the SPCA of Hancock County, please visit our shelter at 141 Bar Harbor Road. We are open Tuesdays through Sundays. You can also visit us online at www.spcahancockcounty.org or give us a call at (207) 667-8088.
