As announced by the publication on January 28th, the historic Farmers’ Almanac has been acquired by new owners, preventing the 208-year-old publication from shutting down.

This move will, in part, preserve one of America’s longest-running traditions. The deal creates Farmers’ Almanac LLC, a New York–based company formed to continue and support the publication after earlier plans called for it to end following the 2026 edition due to financial pressures.

The publication continues that the Farmers’ Almanac has been a trusted resource for more than 200 years.

Offering long-range weather forecasts, seasonal tips, folklore, humor, and practical advice for farmers, gardeners, outdoor enthusiasts, and families across the country, the publication continues to serve a wide audience.

New owner Tim Konrad said preserving the Almanac matters because it represents a living link to generations of knowledge and nature-focused tradition.

Additionally, Konrad’s team is committed to keeping its trusted voice and core content intact for future readers.
