The York County Sheriff's Office has released new information about the FBI search of a Waterboro property.

Waterboro, Maine Home Searched by the FBI and York County Sheriff's Office

A home at 795 Main Street in Waterboro was searched on March 4, 2026, with an extensive examination of the property.

Officials set up tents near the road, blocked off the area, and could be seen removing items from the home and inspecting dozens of totes stacked up outside the home.

Witnesses said they saw Maine Deputies and members of the FBI conducting the search.

Now, officials say another law enforcement agency was also at the scene.

In a release on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, the York County Sheriff's Office revealed that the investigation was in cooperation with the Marin County, California, Sheriff's Office.

The details about why the residence was searched is still not being released.

In a release from the Marin County Sheriff's Office, it was confirmed that detectives traveled to Maine to carry out an investigative search warrant at a residence in York County.

Because the investigation remains active and ongoing, and to protect the integrity of the investigative process, the Marin County Sheriff's Office is unable to provide additional details currently.

They add that no arrests have been made in this case.

Maine Sheriff's Office Says Info on Waterboro Search Will Be Released When Possible

Neighbors told News Center Maine that the occupants of the home include a woman and her boyfriend, her elderly mother, and her son.

The York County Sheriff's Office says they will release information as it becomes available for public knowledge.
