
Maine Teen Allegedly Shot Up a Brand New House
An 18-year-old from Whitefield is facing charges after allegedly shooting at a brand new house before the owners moved in.

Jacob McInnis Jr., 18, of Whitefield, is charged with aggravated criminal mischief and reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, both Class C felonies.
The charges stem from an incident on January 6, 2026, in the town of Alna.
Alna, Maine, New Homeowners Find Bullet Holes in the Side of Their House
New homeowners had just closed the sale on their newly built house in Alna, and were moving in their belongings, when they noticed something very wrong.

There were bullet holes in the side of the house and some windows that had been broken by gunfire. In all, six rounds from a small caliber weapon had been discharged at the home
Luckily, there was no one home at the time of the shooting.
Lincoln County, Maine, Authorities Seek Info About Alna House Shooting
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was called, and their investigation led to the arrest of Jacob McInnis Jr. just after midnight January 14, 2026.
Officials have not commented on what motivated McInnis to shoot at the Alna home.
McInnis was being held at the Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset on $1,500 cash bond, pending his appearance in court.
