Winner winner, chicken dinner!

Taste of Home is a website that inspires togetherness through creative cooking, sharing and entertaining.

They share recipes for the best desserts, appetizers, main dish recipes, and the best of the best in the country, when it comes to food.

When it came down to choosing the best fried chicken in each state, whittling it down to just one in Maine, could not have been an easy task, but it sure sounds like a good time.

When the dust settled, one destination in the Pine Tree State stood above the rest.

Hot Suppa, located at 703 Congress Street, in Portland, Maine, has chicken is so juicy, and mouth watering, you will need to grab a handful of napkins.

They are well known for their chicken and waffles, but you should also try their Fried Chicken Sandwich, which is chicken layered with jalapeno slaw and Sriracha mayo. Yum!

In 2006, two brothers established Hot Suppa! in an 1860 brick Victorian on Portland’s West End. It has beautiful high ceilings, brick walls, and original moldings, the unique character of the building provides a complementary setting for the American classics they offer.

The menu at Hot Suppa is all made from scratch from quality ingredients, and of course, local goods are used whenever possible.

They also serve up breakfast cocktails and mimosas. Or, you can kick off your day with a spicy Bloody Mary or cold draft beer.

This is a great Road Trip idea, should you head to the Portland area this summer!
