On Friday September 21st, forty Fireball Run vehicles and their drivers will depart Independence Ohio for a eight day, twenty five hundred mile run to Bangor!  Yeah, it's kinda like the movie Cannonball Run, although nowhere near as wild.

The Run will bring attention to missing children from all areas of the north country.  For instance, the Bangor River Drivers, featuring Maine Office of Tourism Director Carolann Ouellette and "Timber" Tina Scheer (our favorite LumberJill) will drive for missing Waterville toddler Ayla Reynolds, passing out posters with Ayla's photo along the way.  Yes, it really does work, through their efforts past Runs have produced thirty eight missing  children.  Here's hoping.

I think what we're looking forward to the most is the Grand Finale parade through downtown Bangor on Saturday the 29th.  It starts at 5PM, the reviewing stand will be at West Market Square and the finish line will be at Hollywood Casino.  Looking forward to seeing the participants in person and their funked up vehicles!

You can see the entire race live at www.fireballrun.com, which should prove to be very interesting!
