Do you think you know which of these locations is closest to home? You may be surprised. Regardless, if a rousing ghost story is a highlight of your Halloween festivities any of these tales will give you the chills.  From a campus in Standish where the ghost of a little girl who drown in the pond plays still. Or how about a family who pulled up the floorboards in the kitchen to bury their child who wonders the house still. Not there yet? Try the house in Lebanon that was once a school house that burned.  Story tells that during a full moon you can still see the children playing on the lawn. How about a hotel whose owner refuses to leave? Hiram Ricker, son of the owner of the Poland Springs resort is still told to join guests for dinner. Last and closest to us is Buck's gravestone in Bucksport where his mistress dances on his grave.  All good stuff or the making of goose flesh.
