Wallethub.com is a personal finance social  network and it ranked each state in three different categories to come up with its findings.

Emotional and Personal Well Being, Work, and Community, Environment & Recreational Activities were the categories.

WalletHub.com took 27 different factors into consideration including mental and physical health, job security, suicide rates and outlook on life. They then ranked every state as to how happy the residents are there.

Maine is the 35th happiest state in the nation. We came in 34th in Emotional and Personal Well Being, 43rd in Work and surprisingly only 34th in Community, Environment & Recreational Activities.

Utah is the happiest state compared to West Virginia which is the most unhappiest.
