The Beatles finished up a song for Sgt. Pepper's, but it never made it onto the album, Deep Purple and AC/DC fought it out onstage, and Dylan starred in a lingerie commercial.

On this day in 1967, The Beatles created a final mix of Penny Lane.  It would be released as a 45 RPM single with Strawberry Fields Forever on the other side.  Both songs were originally intended for the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album, that would be released later that summer.

It was this night in 1975 that the s**t hit the fan onstage at the Sunbury Rock Festival in Victoria Australia.  It was a twin bill that night featuring Deep Purple and AC/DC.  Deep Purple had just finished their set, and their road crew started packing up the sound equipment and lights.  The only problem was that management had promised AC/DC the use of that equipment. So, roadies being roadies and all, a huge onstage fist fight broke out.  AC/DC left the venue without ever playing a note  So, it's a little mini Battle Of The Bands today between Deep Purple and AC/DC, both I-95 Bands of the Day!

The Allman Brothers Band had already lost Berry Oakley, their original bass player in a motorcycle accident in 1972, and it was this day in 1983 when they lost another when Lamar Williams died of lung cancer at the age of 34.

It was this day in 2004 that Bob Dylan signed a contract Victoria's Secret to fly to Italy and star in a lingerie commercial.  Some hard core Dylan fans called it a sell out.  Most however thought that Dylan looked fabulous in a teddy.
