Come Together was made, and it was released on a 45 RPM record with the George Harrison penned song Something on the other side. Come Together would go to #1 while Something made it to #3 on the charts.  Yeah, they don't make stuff like that anymore.

It was on this date in 1987 that Axel Rose and company released Appetite For Destruction!  The Guns N' Roses album ended up in everyone's collection and contained the songs that the band is best known for:  Paradise City, Sweet Child Of Mine, and Welcome To The Jungle!  The album has sold over 28 million copies worldwide to date.

Roger Waters' 'The Wall' concert took place today in Berlin front of 350,00 people!  The Berlin Wall had fallen just eight months prior.  In 1981, Waters had made a vow never to perform The Wall again unless the Berlin Wall was taken down, on this date in 1990 he made good on his promise.
