It was on this date in 1977 that a Playboy bunny signed her first record contract.  I didn't know that Barbi Benton could sing.  Well, she can't.  But Debra Harry could.

Debbie Harry and her band Blondie were instrumental in rock's punk and new wave movement.  The band had a bunch of #1 songs like Heart Of Glass and Call Me.  Debbie was also credited with being the first person to rap on a #1 record, Rapture.

And yes, Ms. Harry worked as a bunny at the New York City Playboy Club between 1968 and 1973.

Our I-95 Band Of The Day is U2, because on this date in 1979 they released their very first record.  It was an EP titled U2-3, and they only pressed 1000 copies. U2 are out there on out there on a world tour, and perform in Torino, Italy, this Friday and Saturday night.  Will you be there?  Neither will I.

In 1980, Lindsey Buckingham stood in front of Fleetwood Mac at the Hollywood Bowl and announced that "This is our last tour for a long time."  It was the end of a nine month tour.  Fleetwood Mac will resume this year's tour in Australia this October, and yes, Stevie and Lindsey still drive each other insane.

It was on this date in 2011, that Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day was asked to leave a Southwest Airlines flight because the singer was "wearing his pants too low."  A fight attendant had asked him to, "Pull your pants up or you get off the plane."  Apparently he did, he's still alive.
